Originally, the site contained, mostly information of some connection with this area (which covers, generally, the former Civil Parish of Monikie,) situated in Angus, on the Eastern coast of Scotland.  The two main villages of the area are Monikie and Newbigging, however...

Now, there are other large sections, too, which have local (and not-so-local) history information and a considerable amount of information of assistance to family historians.  There are many other, varied subjects including some information about local businesses.
